Who Will You See?
Two great people. On the Left is my friend, Dave Howell – boat builder and world sailor. On the right is my dad, Brian Scott #1 – pilot and world traveler.
Some of the Crew:
- Jody – The Captain’s wife, first mate, and by default the new CEO of Freebird.
- Big Brian – A retired Air Force Pilot who also happens to be the captain’s dad and mentor.
- Dave – Former crew. A retired firefighter who built Freebird and sailed her around the world on a 10 year odyssey.
- Judy – Former crew. Dave’s wife and experienced first mate who once did a nitrogen dive on the Saratoga down to 150 feet in the Bikini Atoll.
Who else will we “shanghai” to help crew Freebird? Lots to choose from:
- Kids, spouses and boyfriends: all with a mix of talents as soccer players, firefighters, teachers, nurses, scuba divers, volleyball players, hunters and so on.
- Extended family: my mom, brother, sisters, in-laws and cousins who want to help during the long passages, each with their own unique skills and experience.
